Baltimore Green Infrastructure Development: York, Nelson Kohl, and Flats at Eutaw

his initiative was one of the first projects awarded Baltimore’s Green Infrastructure Bond development credits, a program designed to incentivize sustainable urban development by providing financial support for projects that incorporate green infrastructure to manage stormwater, reduce pollution, and enhance community resilience. Through our collaboration with Kinsley Construction, Adaptive Green implemented nearly an acre of extensive green roofs, which manage over 30,000 gallons of stormwater annually, contributing significantly to the city’s sustainability and stormwater management efforts.

Adaptive Green is proud to feature transformative projects in Baltimore that integrate innovative stormwater management and sustainable design, driving positive environmental change across the region. The York Road Partnership revitalizes the corridor with rain gardens, permeable pavements, and community green spaces, reducing runoff while enhancing neighborhood aesthetics. The Nelson Kohl Apartments and the Flats at Eutaw showcase green infrastructure at its finest, utilizing energy-efficient systems, green roofs, and sustainable building materials to lower environmental footprints and promote eco-friendly living. These initiatives collectively address stormwater challenges, reduce urban heat island effects, and support Baltimore’s long-term sustainability goals, fostering resilient communities through green infrastructure.
