Chrysler Building / Danish Consulate

Adaptive Green served as the landscape architect and builder for the Danish Consulate’s Chrysler Building location.  We were tasked with  the transformation of the Danish Consulate’s 11th-floor terrace in the Chrysler Building located in New York City. The design features an extensive modular green roof system, flexible green walls for added privacy, and an assortment of native shrubs. This green roof system is designed with sustainability in mind, offering a range of environmental benefits.

Since the installation, Denmark House has expanded its sustainability initiatives by adding bee hives to the green roof. These hives enhance local pollination, boosting the health of nearby plants and promoting a richer urban ecosystem.
